Part of the evolution of poker has resulted in what is known as the television boom. United States

The United States is home to many of the biggest and most successful casinos in the world and therefore naturally one would expect that a lot of different World Poker Tour events would be held within the borders of the United States. The Bellagio hotel in Las Vegas is home to one of the more prestigious World Poker Tour events and considering the size and scope of that particular hotel and casino resort, it is no surprise that the event is considered to be big. Foxwoods also boasts a first prize of over a million dollars.

Europe

While the United States definitely has the larger events that everyone seems to want to watch, Europe is also home to a lot of different World Poker Tour events that people would enjoy watching. There are events in the different areas of the United Kingdom, where a lot of the casinos are doing very well. Europe is also home to a number of high class casinos such as the Monte Carlo casino. The Monte Carlo casino does host World Poker Tour events from time to time, but because the casino floor itself is so high class, the tournaments are held in an anteroom so that people without tuxedos don’t end up traversing the casino floor.
